The Village contracts with GFL Environmental, a private hauler, for weekly curbside collection of garbage and recycling.
Services
Residents with a new home need to call the Village Hall at (920) 989-1062 or use SeeClikFix to set up garbage and recycling collection services. New customers will receive a prorated invoice for the service fees for the remainder of the year. Future service fees will be added to next year's tax bill as a line item called "Refuse/Garbage".
Residents moving into a pre-existing home do not need to contact the Village Hall since carts remain with the property.
Garbage & recycling carts may become damaged due to normal wear & tear. For cart repairs or to report an issue, call the Village Hall at (920) 989-1062 or use SeeClikFix.
GFL recognizes the following major holidays, which may affect your pick-up:

Cart Placement Guidelines
- All material must fit inside the designated cart with the lid closed.
- Flatten & cut boxes to 2 ft x 2 ft to fit inside the cart with the lid closed.
- Place all household garbage in plastic garbage bags before placing in the designated cart.
- Do not place recycling in plastic bags. Leave recycling loose or use a brown paper bag.
- Place carts at the curb with the wheels facing the house and the lid opening to the road. Keep carts in line with your mailbox.
- Place carts 4 ft apart and at least 4 ft from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, trees, or power lines.
- Keep carts at the curb until the end of the day if they haven’t been collected. Collection times may change due to weather, new route drivers or equipment issues.
- Place carts out the night before collection day, weather permitting.
Collection trucks start as early as 5:00 am. - Do not place carts on top of snowbanks. Clear a path.
- If a major holiday falls during the week, garbage & recycling collection will be delayed 1 day for the entire week.

Outagamie County welcomes ALL residents (including Harrison residents) to use their Resource Recovery Park (Drop-Off Site).
Loads weighing 700 lbs. or less will be charged a $20.00 minimum fee, while loads weighing over 700 lbs. are prorated at $56.00/ton. All open loads must be tarped.

Some items are too large or bulky to fit in the garbage carts provided to Harrison residents.
For residents who are unable to take bulky items to a drop off and need a pick up at their residence, disposal stickers are available to purchase at the Village Hall, M - F 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Guidelines
- Bulky items are collected on the 3rd Friday of the month.
- Each item requires a separate sticker. Items that do NOT have a sticker will not be picked up.
- Purchase stickers at the Village Hall at least 3 days before the pickup day.
- Place stickered items at the roadside the night before pick up or by 5:00 am on collection day.

- $50 first item
- $25 for each additional item (same address/same date)
- $75 per Freon item
Bulky waste may include: box springs, bicycles, carpet, chairs, dishwashers, furniture, fish tanks, *Freon appliances, large toys, mattresses, ranges, sofas, swimming pools, swing sets, trash compactors, washers & dryers, water heaters, and other similar items.
*Freon appliances include: air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers, and refrigerators.
Calumet Recycles hosts several appliance & e-waste collections each year.

Village of Harrison’s Electronics Recycling Program
Hazardous waste that’s not disposed of properly can pollute our drinking water, cause harmful algae growth, and put sanitation workers at risk. Left around the house or garage, these materials can also accidentally poison kids and pets.
