The Department of Public Works maintains and repairs around 100 miles of roads, ditches, right-of-ways, trails, and ponds. The department also maintains village-owned vehicles and equipment and removes snow from village roads.

The Public Works Department employs an Operations Manager, an Engineering Technician/Code Enforcement Officer, 6 full-time laborers, and many seasonal employees to manage Harrison’s infrastructure and to oversee the Yard Waste Site.
