The Clerk issues the following licenses and approves or denies the following permits.
Applications for operators' licenses are processed by the Village Clerk's Office, which conducts background checks.
Generally, anyone who manufactures, imports, distributes, stores, markets, solicits, orders, or makes sales of, advertises, or transports cigarettes, tobacco, or vapor products for profit must obtain a permit.
Applications for a license to sell tobacco or vapor products must apply for a license prescribed by the State Department of Revenue
Dog Kennel Permits are used to regulate homes or businesses that keep multiple dogs in one place.
The permit helps ensure dogs are cared for, the site fits the neighborhood, and any problems are addressed quickly.
Per state law and village ordinance, all dogs over five months of age must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies.
Dog Licenses expire annually on December 31. To avoid a late penalty fee of $5.00, annual licenses must be obtained by March 31.
