Big news for traffic safety in the Fox Cities—and for the Village of Harrison.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded an $842,876 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (ECWRPC) / Appleton (Fox Cities) MPO to advance two major safety study projects, including the County Highway KK Corridor Study—a 4.5-mile corridor from John Street to WIS 55 that connects Appleton, Harrison, Buchanan, and Kaukauna and includes the Calumet/Outagamie county line.
Work is expected to begin after the local grant agreement is finalized later this year, and projects must be completed within five years.
